Dogs Aren't Our Whole Lives, But... Oh No, Wait, They Are

Holidays for multiple dogs and their well-behaved hoomans

It’s all about the dogs here at Sail Mhor View, where we welcome multiple pooches free of charge. The dogs at Sail Mhor View always seem to enjoy their holidays, and many of them make their owners book again – and again! We think that’s about the best recommendation we could have!

Sail Mhor View is owned and run by ourselves, lifetime dog owners, especially for multi dog owners, who wouldn’t dream of a holiday without the pack.

How many is multiple? Well, the most we’ve had so far, is 10, but get in touch with your requirements, and see if we can accommodate you.

And yes, of course we welcome Rottweilers, Dogues de Bordeaux, and German Shepherds. We welcome all breeds, whatever their size.  We also understand just how important a fully enclosed garden is, so you can relax during your stay with us.

And although we hope you won’t need them, if, like us, you always want to know where (and who), the local vets are when you’re away, you can read about them here: Conanvet

Dogs love holidays at Sail Mhor View

Wester Ross is an absolute paradise for dogs, with so many places to explore. The dogs holidaying at Sail Mhor View can enjoy lochs to paddle in, and the sea to swim in. Plus sandy beaches for digging, and mountains for hiking. And then home, at the end of the day, to The Proper Dog Friendly Place, for a run around the garden, before dinner at the Doggy Diner. Then it's time to pick a sofa to curl up on, and dream of all their adventures.

We offer buggy hire, for senior or post-op dogs, for a £10 per week donation to Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming UK

We also make a £5 donation to them ourselves, for every British Bulldog that stays

We offer crate hire (various sizes), for a £5 per crate, per week, donation to The Edward Foundation

We also make a £5 donation to them ourselves, for every British Bulldog that stays

The Dog Den at Sail Mhor View

We welcome dogs throughout the cottage, and on furniture with throws, which we provide, but we know that some dogs just like their own space!

And we also understand that some people have a pack where perhaps they don’t always all get on, and you need the capacity to separate them sometimes.

So, we’ve created ‘The Dog Den at Sail Mhor View’, a spacious, 8ft x 11ft room for downtime for your dogs, or for those who prefer not to sleep with their humans.  Or their furry siblings.

There’s plenty of room for dog beds and crates (yours or ours), whatever they prefer, plus lots of storage space for their toys, coats, or whatever else they like to bring.  And room for the additional freezer we can supply for raw feeders.

Includes

Warm water shower especially for dogs

Scotland's only dedicated Dog Wash! (Probably).

We have installed a warm water doggy shower outside, so that you can wash away the mud and sand from your pack, after a long trek in the hills, or a day at the beach.

We also provide a professional standard 2800w doggy dryer, as well as towels especially for the dogs, and lots of other accessories for your four-legged friends.

‘Thor’s Dogwash’ is dedicated to our previous rescue bulldog, The Mighty Thor, who adored anything to do with water, but had a particular penchant for hosepipes and sprinklers!

Here's the lovely Lola, who wanted to try out the Dog Wash so much, she went and jumped in a puddle just so she could make sure it really worked! Credit and thanks to Sandra, Diana and Jack for the photo.

External Heating Area To Dry Clothes

Our external, heated drying area in the old greenhouse, has both clothes hanging racks and boot racks, and is the perfect place for drying off your dogs with the dryer.

There’s plenty of space to leave soggy dog towels to dry too, as well as for storing your walking gear and boots.

Thor's Charity Week - win a 7 night stay at Sail Mhor View

Thor’s Charity Week is our annual charity fundraiser for dog rescues.

We do it in memory of our previous rescue boy, Thor, who became, at the time, our very unintentional fourth dog. He also became that ‘dog in a million’ and when we devastatingly lost him in October 2019, to bone cancer, just 8 days before his 10th birthday, we wanted to do something to remember him by, but also to give something back to the incredible rescue that plonked him into our lives in the first place.

So each year, from 2019 to 2025, in conjunction with the rescue, we ran a Lucky Numbers Draw, with the prize being a 7 night stay at Sail Mhor View in October  – with dogs of course! Here’s what we raised…

  • 2020: £955 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
  • 2021: £772 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
  • 2022: £1033 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
  • 2023: £1261 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
  • 2023: We also raised £2257 for The Edward Foundation with a one off Lucky Numbers
  • 2024: £1057 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
  • 2025: £1018 for Bulldog Rescue & Rehoming
From 2026, we are changing things up a bit, and will pick a different charity each year.
